The Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX) has recently published a consultation paper "Review of the ESG Reporting Guide and related Listing Rules" to seek views on proposed new ESG reporting requirements. 

If all recommendations are incorporated into the Listing Rules, the following ESG disclosure will be included in future:

• Target for environmental key performance indicators (KPIs) (e.g. reduction of carbon intensity of 20% in 3 years) 
• Significant climate-related issues (e.g. materiality assessment protocol and results)
• Social KPIs 

In this seminar, the speaker will share explanations and insights for each potential new requirement, such as general practice in other jurisdictions to accomplish the new requirements. He will also illustrate, by examples, the necessary considerations when setting goals and targets.
