Best Corporate Governance Awards series: Tips on improving corporate governance and becoming an award winner
19:00 - 20:30
The Institute has been organising the Best Corporate Governance Awards (BCGA) since 2000 and they are regarded as very exacting and prestigious awards, as well as an accurate benchmark of Hong Kong's current CG standards, in both the listed company and public sectors. Adopting good CG practices can foster greater confidence in investors and stakeholders and, ultimately, help companies to reduce their cost of funds. Conversely, poor CG can spell disaster for companies. Winning a BCGA award is seen by companies and public sector organisations as recognition that they have the highest standards of CG among their peers and, for this reason, the awards are highly prized. The speakers in this seminar have long experience in assessing companies' CG performance in the context of the BCGA. They will share tips on how the Institute assesses the quality of CG and what separates the best from the rest.
