The global trade environment has become more uncertain recently with the introduction of multiple new tariffs by the United States, China and their trading partners. The U.S. has announced new duties in retaliation for intellectual property issues. China quickly responded with new tariffs of its own on several billion dollars' worth of imports into China and indicated more tariffs would be forthcoming. Recently, the US and China have begun to hold high level talks aimed at resolving their trade differences. While both countries have been trying to avoid a trade war, these actions leave global traders unsure of what their cost structure will look like in the future and how to plan their business.
In this event, the speaker will provide an update on the factors driving the new tariffs and will consider the potential supply chain strategies and tax issues for your business.
